1. Who we are

KEMMA (Kindness, Empowerment, Mobilization, Motivation, Advocacy) is a community development association working in Cameroon. This policy covers personal information collected through kemmaglobal.org — our grant applications, partnership and volunteering forms, donation form, newsletter sign-up and contact form.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to your request or process your application:

• Grant applications: Name, contact details, national ID or birth certificate copies, and any supporting documents (proof of enrollment, business idea, community endorsement, etc.) requested by the specific program you apply to.
• Partnership & volunteering: Name, organization (if any), contact details and a description of the support or collaboration you are proposing.
• Donations: Name, contact details and payment information, processed securely by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers.
• Contact form & newsletter: Name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.

3. How we use it

We use your information to review and respond to grant, partnership and volunteering applications; to process donations; to answer enquiries submitted through the contact form; and, only if you opt in, to send occasional updates about our programs. We do not sell your personal information, and we only share it with a third party where necessary to deliver a service you requested — for example, sharing payment details with our payment processor to complete a donation, or sharing an applicant's details with a partner organization delivering a specific program, and only where that is reasonably expected as part of that program.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your information based on your consent (for example, submitting an application or subscribing to the newsletter), to take steps you request before entering into a support arrangement (grant or partnership applications), or our legitimate interest in operating and improving our programs and this website.

5. How long we keep it

We keep application and donation records for as long as needed to administer the relevant program and meet our reporting and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.

6. Keeping your information safe

Information you submit is stored on secured servers and is only accessible to authorized KEMMA staff who need it to do their work. Forms on this site are protected against common abuse (spam and automated submissions), and the site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

7. Children's information

Some of our programs (such as scholarships and school kits) support children. Where an application concerns a minor, it should be submitted by a parent, guardian or the responsible institution on the child's behalf.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from the newsletter) at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
